Geneva Aviation Opens Advanced Development Center
Monday, July 30, 2007 - Geneva Aviation's center for advanced development of audio, video and microwave technologies for electronic newsgathering (ENG) and law enforcement helicopters has opened here.
Geneva, already a leading provider of these technologies, will use the center to house its engineering and production facilities. The engineering staff will be dedicated to modernizing and upgrading existing components and to develop new FAA approved modular products and systems.
"By developing products and systems that have Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) and/or Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA), we enable completion centers or other installation facilities to install our modular packages without going through time-consuming field approvals," said Geneva President Steve Joseph.
Geneva specializes in designing, engineering and installing complex video, audio and microwave components in television news helicopters and in those used by law enforcement agencies worldwide. The advanced development center will help Geneva design solutions for even more complex operator requirements and expand its product offerings to additional aircraft models and to new markets.
